SEAMEO Project
Brunei, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste

Overview
SEAMEO is the regional intergovernmental organization established among governments of Southeast Asian countries to promote regional cooperation in education, science and culture in the region. The SEAMEO Council is composed of the incumbent Ministers of Education of the 11 member countries. The SEMEAO Secretariat is the executive arm of the Council and the headquarters of SEAMEO. One of its main functions is to execute the instructions and decisions of the Council as contained in the Council resolutions.
The goal of this collaboration is to strengthen the capacity of a core team of TPD system actors in each participating country (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam) to craft policy and develop programs towards an equitable, effective and efficient at scale TPD system. Combining research, capacity strengthening and PPI and working through official SEAMEO channels, this project will take Country Teams through a learning cycle using the TPD@Scale Open Course developed by FIT-ED while also generating a background research paper focusing on the state of TPD in each country, to eventually produce a policy guide with recommendations for education ministries.
